By using Pressay, you agree to these terms.
The service
Pressay provides voice input on macOS, Windows, iOS, and Android: it turns the speech and text you hand to it into text you can use directly. Recognition and refinement run in the cloud, so a network connection is required.
Accounts
An account is identified by an email address and signed in with a one-time code. You are responsible for actions taken through your email address. If you find that someone else is using your account, contact us as soon as possible.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use Pressay:
- For any purpose that breaks the laws or regulations where you are
- To record other people’s conversations without their consent
- To circumvent allowance limits, reverse-engineer the service, or interfere with its normal operation
- To make automated, high-volume requests beyond normal personal use
Your content
What you say and write remains yours. We claim no rights over it and do not use it to train models. To provide the service, you grant us permission to use it only to the extent necessary to process the current request; that permission ends when the request ends.
Plans and allowances
The Free allowance is 50,000 words per week; we announce any change to it in advance. Pro is priced at $15/month or $120/year, but it cannot be purchased yet, and registering for the launch notice creates neither an order nor a bill.
Changes and interruptions
We may change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service. We give notice of material changes in advance. The service depends on third-party providers and may be interrupted unpredictably.

Pressay is provided “as is”. Speech recognition and text rewriting make mistakes; check the result yourself before relying on it for anything important. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect loss arising from the use of, or the inability to use, this service.
